On the Ground in Senegal
Josef Bock travelled to Thiès from May 10–17 to visit all ongoing projects in person, offer hands-on support, and make sure things are moving in the right direction for the long term.
Several stops were on the agenda:
At Don Bosco Vocational School — our first TOOLS FOR LIFE plumbing school — Josef worked directly with the team on curricula, small construction projects, and in-wall installations to bring practical learning into the everyday life of the school.
Further visits took him to Sant’Augustin School, SOM School, Fissel Vocational School, and Mbafaye School — a full programme that reflects how many threads TOOLS FOR LIFE holds across the region.
The trip was a reminder of what makes the difference in the long run: staying close to the work, showing up in person, and planning carefully at every step.
