Reforestation in the Lushoto district

Thanks to the great collaboration with the Green Land Group and the commitment of local workers and volunteers, we are making steady progress to improve the environment in the Lushoto district while supporting local communities.

2800 seedlings successfully planted: a significant step for environmental protection

A total of 2800 seedlings have been successfully planted in the Lushoto district. This result was made possible by the cooperation of workers, volunteers and especially women, who were actively involved in the reforestation project. The work was carried out in the SUMIOI area, where the focus was on restoring degraded areas to natural habitats through reforestation.

Promoting women through reforestation: a focus on gender equality

A particularly valuable aspect of this project is the involvement of women in the reforestation. In cooperation with the Green Land Group, more than 25 women have been employed, who not only earn a regular income through the plantations, but also acquire valuable skills and knowledge about environmental protection and tree planting techniques. The TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation actively supports this initiative to promote gender equality and give women the opportunity to actively contribute to sustainability and environmental protection in their region.

Outlook: A positive development for the environment and the community

We are proud that the project in the Lushoto district is progressing so successfully thanks to the support of the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation and the Green Land Group. Our collaboration has not only contributed to the reforestation of degraded land, but has also had a direct positive impact on the local community. Of particular note is the empowerment of women, who through the project are now able to earn their own income and contribute to the sustainability efforts of their region.

The TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation remains committed to supporting this project and reporting regularly on its progress. The positive feedback from the region reinforces our belief that environmental protection and social justice must go hand in hand to bring about lasting change.

We would like to thank the Green Land Group and everyone who has contributed to this success. Together we are creating a better future for the Lushoto District, where both the environment and communities benefit.
