Education creates the future

In Senegal, many children still struggle with long journeys to school, overcrowded classrooms, and a lack of equipment. Girls in particular are at risk of being married off early if they are denied access to school.

A lot has happened in the village of Mbafaye over the past three years: new classrooms, sanitary facilities, an administration building, and a well have been built. This has significantly improved educational opportunities for the children.

A protective wall now keeps wild animals out of the school grounds and allows trees and green spaces to be planted. This not only provides shade, but also improves the microclimate and helps protect against erosion.

Why is this important?

  • Provides shade
  • Improves the microclimate
  • Protects the soil from erosion
  • Reduces dust – for a better learning environment
  • Promotes environmental awareness and responsibility

Together, we can create green learning spaces with a future.
