Make a child smile in Brakpan
A child's smile is priceless. With this saying in mind, TOOLS FOR LIFE brought joy to children in Brakpan, a town east of Johannesburg (South Africa) in the run-up to Christmas this year. The project was carried out by the team of ROTHENBERGER South Africa.
Current situation
The effects of the Corona pandemic are also being felt in children's homes in South Africa. Due to the economic uncertainty and the resulting drop in donations, the children's homes have reached their limits. There is a lack of the most basic necessities: food, hygiene products, teaching materials. This situation has fatal consequences for the already socially disadvantaged children.
Our measures
In order to give the children some Christmas joy, ROTHENBERGER South Africa organized a festive day for the children. On this day, a delicious meal, an entertainment program and presents from Santa Claus were provided. TOOLS FOR LIFE supported the project with € 3449.00. In addition to the food, the money was used to buy hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and disinfectants, as well as school supplies. In addition, ROTHENBERGER South Africa donated masks. Children from the surrounding area donated clothing and toys.
