Hope Grows – 20,000 New Trees

The Tarawe Forest in the Tanga region has been severely degraded—many natural water sources have been lost, biodiversity is declining, and local communities are suffering from water scarcity. Over 100 families walk 10 km daily to collect water, and children are falling ill from water-related diseases.

Thanks to the reforestation project, 20,000 trees have been planted: fruit trees in schools, medicinal plants in the forest, and agroforestry systems that help restore water sources, protect biodiversity, and strengthen the local community.
