Christmas donation from NORDWEST
The TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation would like to thank NORDWEST Handel AG for its generous Christmas donation of 5,000 euros in 2024. This donation is part of a total donation of 20,000 euros with which NORDWEST supports four remarkable organisations that are committed to social causes. In addition to the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation, the Dortmund Child Protection Centre, the Dortmund Women's Shelter and the Elterntreff leukämie- und tumorerkrankter Kinder e.V. also benefit from this generous support.
NORDWEST Handel AG: Commitment to a better future
With this year's Christmas donation, NORDWEST Handel AG is sending a strong signal in favour of social responsibility and social commitment. CEO Michael Rolf emphasises that the company's entrepreneurial success also brings with it the obligation to give something back to society. NORDWEST helps where help is most urgently needed - with sustainable donations for projects that bring about real change.
The ceremonial donation handover took place on 12 December 2024 at the NORDWEST headquarters in Dortmund. Representatives of the four supported organisations were invited to present their work and underline the importance of such donations. It was emphasised how important it is to show community and solidarity in difficult times.
Donations to other organisations: Support for people in need in the region
In addition to the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation, NORDWEST also supports three other important organisations:
Dortmund Child Protection Centre: a specialist counselling centre for children who have experienced sexual abuse, violence or neglect. The organisation looks after 350 to 450 children every year and relies on private donations to continue its important work.
Dortmund Women's Refuge: The largest women's refuge in North Rhine-Westphalia, which protects women and their children from violence and helps them to lead a self-determined life.
Elterntreff leukämie- und tumorerkrankter Kinder e.V.: An organisation that has been supporting families with children suffering from cancer and their relatives in Dortmund since 1982 and provides practical and financial support.
