Tomorrow on July 28th from 10 am Frankfurter Sparkasse will double all donations up to 100€ for our project "School Scholarship for Girls" in Togo.

Pastor Augustin Kouanvih, himself a Togolese by birth, has been campaigning for better education in Togo for many years. Especially girls are denied access to education. Yet it is mainly they who later contribute to the sustainable development of the economy. Women invest 90 percent of their income in the education, health and care of their families (men: 30 percent). Strengthening their economic participation therefore directly benefits the next generation.
According to the Togolese constitution, education is compulsory for all children up to the age of 15. However, the often bitterly poor parents can pay neither school fees nor uniforms. The parents waive school attendance, especially for girls.
With the donations received, Pastor Augustin finances scholarships so that the girls can go to school regardless of their parents' income.
