Help Day 2024

At ROTHENBERGER USA

In a special collaboration with FunGus Bike Donation, Rothenberger USA, Inc. organised a collection of used bicycles and bicycle parts this spring. Employees Rothenberger USA employees collected over 75 bicycles in May, which were then donated to FunGus Bike Donation and refurbished for charity in the Rockford, Illinois area.

Albert Siegener, the founder of FunGus Bike Donation, repairs, cleans and refurbishes the donated bikes before donating them to local organisations. These include Miss Carly's, an organisation that provides bikes to homeless people, as well as Rockhouse Kids and Carpenters Corner, which support children in need in the city and give bikes to young people free of charge.

Working together for a better future

Nine Rothenberger employees were involved in the campaign - some donated their own bikes, others helped to organise and store the collected bikes in the Rothenberger USA warehouse. Finally, they assisted with loading the bikes onto the transporter to ensure they arrived safely at FunGus Bike Donation.

A contribution to the community

The more than 75 bicycles collected have provided people in need with urgently needed mobility. Bicycles not only provide an environmentally friendly means of transport, but also open up new opportunities for work and social participation for the recipients. The bicycles were collected in June and distributed to the charitable organisations in Rockford during the course of the month.

A commitment with heart

Rothenberger USA is proud to partner with FunGus Bike Donation to contribute to the Rockford community. The opportunity to give old bikes a new life while supporting people in difficult situations shows the importance of local involvement. With this campaign, Rothenberger USA is sending a clear signal of cohesion and solidarity.
