At ROTHENBEGER Italiana
The employees of Rothenberger Italiana recently got involved in an important project: In cooperation with BANCO ALIMENTARE, an Italian organisation that campaigns against hunger, marginalisation and food waste, the team collected food for those in need, demonstrating impressive solidarity and commitment.
From 29 May to 7 June, Rothenberger Italiana employees collected food donations such as pulses, vegetables, tuna, tinned meat, tomato sauce and oil. At the end of the donation campaign, Rothenberger Italiana doubled the value of the donations collected and presented BANCO ALIMENTARE with a total of 15 boxes of food. This generous donation will help around 100 families in need.
BANCO ALIMENTARE: Together for a sustainable future
BANCO ALIMENTARE has been successfully campaigning for years to combat hunger and poverty and to prevent food waste. In cooperation with national and European institutions, the organisation coordinates the distribution of surplus food from agriculture and the food retail trade. This food is then distributed by 21 regional BANCO ALIMENTARE organisations and over 7,600 local partners to the people who need it most.
In 2023, BANCO ALIMENTARE collected over 119,138 tonnes of food, supporting almost 1.8 million people in Italy. This is made possible by a network of almost 2,000 volunteers who ensure that surplus food gets to where it is urgently needed every day.

BANCO ALIMENTARE's local partner organisation thanked Rothenberger Italiana for its valuable support and the significant food collection. This initiative shows how much even small steps can make a difference when companies and employees work together to help people in need and contribute to a more sustainable world.
