Help Day 2024

At NORDWEST

On June 8, NORDWEST was part of an international environmental initiative, the annual Rothenberger Help Day organized by the Tools for Life Foundation. This year, 20 dedicated employees from NORDWEST Handel NORDWEST Handel AG in Dortmund collected around 65 kilograms of rubbish on the Phoenix West site near the NORDWEST headquarters. Not only the NORDWEST employees took part, but also their family members, who together made their contribution to environmental cleanliness.

The aim was to clear the neighbourhood of rubbish and litter - and it was a success. The teams found various items of rubbish such as plastic waste, glass bottles, cigarette butts and even construction waste along the footpaths and streets in the Phoenix-West Technology Park. The rubbish was collected in 17 large bags and picked up by EDG, Entsorgung Dortmund GmbH, in the afternoon.

The campaign marked the NORDWEST Group's third involvement in Help Day. The helpers went to work in small teams equipped with grabbing tongs, bin bags and gloves. Compared to the previous year, the amount of rubbish collected even exceeded 45 kilograms - a clear sign of the ongoing commitment and dedication to a clean environment.
