Our mission
The TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation has set itself the task of providing people around the world with access to essential resources that are indispensable for a healthy life. The focus here is on the material supply of renewable energy, clean water and basic sanitation. At the same time, the foundation promotes intangible resources such as education and vocational training to enable sustainable development.
Since the end of 2021, the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation has expanded its scope and included climate protection as an integral part of its work, which perfectly complements the foundation's other objectives. The establishment of the foundation in 2008 by Dr Helmut Rothenberger underlines the long-standing commitment to the common good and the sustainable progress of society.
With a clear focus on knowledge transfer and the promotion of craftsmanship skills, the foundation realises its projects not only in developing countries, but also in Germany and other parts of the world. The close connection to the ROTHENBERGER Group supports the foundation in achieving its goals sustainably and effectively.
Our philosophy:
TOOLS FOR LIFE is based on the principle of ‘helping people to help themselves’ and encourages people around the world to actively shape their own destiny. The foundation promotes and encourages people to take responsibility in order to bring about lasting change. With the ROTHENBERGER Group, a leading global manufacturer of premium tube tools, tube processing machines, machine tools and environmental technology, TOOLS FOR LIFE has a strong partner at its side. Thanks to the high-quality products and comprehensive expertise of ROTHENBERGER employees, the foundation provides valuable support in the realisation of its projects.
