TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation's successful trip to Senegal

In April 2024, the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation travelled to Senegal to promote community development projects. Accompanied by influencers @nample, @geschichteneinesheizers, @nick_shk_hh and @meister_shk, our project manager Felix Gottschlich started his journey in Frankfurt.

After a smooth flight and a warm welcome from Rahim at DSS airport in Senegal, they made their way to Thies to the "Water for Senegal" clubhouse.

The mission began with the construction of a carport for a new ambulance at the Pallené health centre. They then celebrated Eid after Ramadan and took a trip to the Atlantic Ocean in Mbour.

The next few days were characterised by significant activities. They helped with the installation of rainwater drainage pipes on school buildings and the construction of a school wall in Darou. They also visited the garden project in Ngembe and the water tower in Pallo.

The discussions with Cheick Diallo and Karou about the "plastic revive for life" project were particularly inspiring. They told them about their efforts to recycle plastic waste and reprocess it in their companies.

The trip ended with the handover of tools to the electricians Mustafa and plumber Mustafa as well as footballs to a local football club.

Everyone is grateful for this valuable experience and is looking forward to participating in TOOLS FOR LIFE projects again soon. Keep following us for updates on our travels and the work of the Foundation!
